all in a name

The concept for Iden Advancement occurred to our founder, Laura Lundahl, while she was volunteering abroad. She was located near two quiet yet productive villages in Kent, England. The villages, called Benenden and Gouhurst, are less than 10 kilometers apart.

Together, the two villages and the spaces between them are called “Iden Green.”  Iden is an English-Welsh name with traditional roots, meaning “Prosperous.”

Lundahl's concept was to create a partnership of people who, like the Iden Green villages, quietly yet productively combined their skills, enabling “prosperous solution” to impact the greater good.

Lundahl's idea was carried through in developing what is now Iden Advancement.
